The Turning Point
BBC Radio 4
The Turning Point asks what does it actually take to reach someone? Not to process or manage them, but to actually reach them.
Presented by Jacob Dunne, who knows both sides of that question, the series follows practitioners working at the point where conversation and human relationship become the primary tools of change: from far-right deradicalisation, to youth violence, criminal exploitation, to rigid masculinity and the manosphere.
The through line in every episode is the moment of contact between two people: what made it possible, what was said, what was at stake, and what changed as a result. The series is not about systems or policy. It is about what one person can do for another, and why that remains both the hardest and the most essential thing.
