Behind The Scenes – Acta Community Theatre
BBC Radio 4
Bristol’s Acta Community Theatre is a place where people from all walks of life come together to create top-quality drama, but the definition of quality is unique.
Rather than beginning with a play and finding a professional cast to realise it, Acta make “drama in reverse,” accepting anyone without audition and helping them create work that tells their own story, in their own way.
We follow some of the company’s many groups as they prepare all new performances, and bring often untold stories to the stage.
