On the road with The Health Wagon in the Appalachian mountains of Southwest Virginia.
It’s the oldest mobile clinic in the USA, founded by a catholic nun in the back of a VW Beetle.We join them as they provide no-cost medical, dental and vision care to one of the most vulnerable, medically underserved communities in the United States.
Some folks we meet have no medical insurance at all, but many are underinsured – meaning they can’t afford the additional copays and deductibles.
